Loans

What is BorrowBox?
BorrowBox works like an in-person library, but with eBooks and Audiobooks that are available to borrow! However, like an in-person library, each copy can only be borrowed by one person at a time. We're actively working to see if we can get the monthly title available for multiple people to borrow at once.
What is The Internet Archive?
The Internet Archive is, as they describe, "a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more." Wherever possible, we try to link to books available on there which are above-board. The Internet Archive's books can be borrowed for an hour at any time, and some books can be borrowed for a fortnight.

Purchases

We link to book-buying sites that we believe are the most sustainable, to provide alternatives to bigger, more well-known sites.eBay
A second-hand selling site. Purchases contribute mostly to the seller of the item.
bookshop.org
An online non-profit where you can buy books at (almost) full price, where almost all of the profits made from purchases go towards a local bookshop of choice!
Wob
Previously World of Books, Wob sells second-hand books at varying levels of wear-and-tear. This makes it, along with eBay, a good option for those with smaller book budgets.
